What constitutes "warm" or "cold" weather can be quite subjective and individualized. What's your concept of "warm" weather? Is there a particular temperature it has to reach before you go without a jacket? Put on shorts? Make Brad's day? Make Matty's day?
Today's questions are brought to you by Colorful, who's wondering who forgot to remind Demeter that it was the first day of Spring.

Blog Note
Posts are going to be a bit sporadic this week. Between throwing my sleep schedule out of whack (will I ever learn?) and having a somewhat busy schedule, it's going to be difficult for me to find the time and energy I need to write, let alone manage to have both at the same time.
In the meantime, if you've never seen it before, I highly recommend you check out the 2001 movie "Friends and Family." It's available for streaming via Netflix. I watched it this weekend and thought it was hilarious. Tony Lo Bianco plays a rather convincing Mafia Don, giving the part an air of understated authority and dignity. Also, the way that the movie plays with stereotypes (imagine a group of stereotypical "Wise Guys" learning to "queen it up") is actually humorous, something I find rare these days. I have no idea how this movie came out in 2001 and I only discovered it in 2013.

Get Personal With Me: Romance
In honor of the fact that tomorrow is Valentine's Day, let's talk romance. What is your idea of a (or "the perfect") romantic date?
As always, please remember the comment policy and don't criticize other people's thoughts on the topic.

Get Personal With Me: Colds and Self Care
Today's installment of Get Personal With Me is inspired by the fact that I've been tiring myself out to the point that I think I'm now trying to fight off a cold.
What helps you feel better when you're dealing with a cold? Do you rely on comfort foods? Have you found particular medications or even home remedies helpful?
Please keep the comment policy in mind when talking about other people's answers.

Get Personal With Me: Music
This week's installment of Get Personal With Me was inspired by a last minute decision to go with Sassy Waiter to listen to a band play last night.
What's your favorite song? Is it something that brings back a memory? A song whose lyrics really speak to you? Or do you just really like the lyrics or the rhythm?
Note: Before you comment, please remember and even refamiliarize yourself with the comment policy. Do not judge or otherwise negatively comment on any other commenter's answer.

Get Personal With Me: Humor
Humor is a funny thing. Different things cause different people to laugh. The mere mention of a certain word may result in one person breaking out into a huge belly laugh because it reminds them of their favorite joke. For another person, the absurdity of their current situation may cause them to break down in peels of hysterical laughter.
How about you? What's something that tickles your funny bone to the point you can't hold in the laughter?

Get Personal With Me: Celebrations
We all have those things in our lives to celebrate. We get a promotion or raise at work. We rock a presentation for a class we're taking. That special someone finally says, "I love you." What are some of the ways you celebrate those special moments? How do you reward yourself after some accomplishment?

Get Personal With Me: Closeness
I'm quite excited. Last month, G(WT)P received 501 pageviews! That's more than twice the number I received in the month of June. It seems like I've gotten a pretty nice readership (and Google Analytics tells me I have a pretty good returning readership as well). I even seem to be picking up a overseas following, which is cool.
As the start of a new month, I want to try something new. In order to generate more comments and also make The G(WT)P epxerience more of a community experience, I've decided to start a weekly series called "Get Personal With Me." Each Wednesday afternoon, I'll post a question inviting my readers to share something about themselves.
Obviously, other readers are welcome to discuss each other's experiences. Everything is strictly voluntary. You're not required to share your own experience (though please refrain from sharing someone else's experience rather than inviting them to share it first-hand themselves), and sharing your own experience is not required to talk about an experience someone else shares. However, I do strongly encourage everyone to (re-)familiarize themselves with my comment policy before joining in a "Get Personal With Me" discussion. Also, if you have (or know of) a blog post that is relevant to the discussion, feel free to share a link. Just please give warning if your link might not be safe for work.
With that said, let's get on to today's episode of "Get Personal With Me." Today's topic is closeness.
What are some of the things that generally cause you to feel especially close to someone else? Is there an instance where you felt particularly close to someone? Describe what it was like.

Improvements for the G(WT)P Experience
Hello, my small but (hopefully) growing group of readers! It's your generous (No, not that kind of "generous." You hustlers can sit back down.) and fun-loving host, Colorful. I just woke up a little bit ago and just wanted to draw your attention to some of the changes I've been making here at Getting (Way Too) Personal over the past few days.
I recently added a comment policy to give people an idea of what sort of behavior is and isn't acceptable for people who comment here. Most of, being as wonderful as you host, probably don't even need to bother reading it. Let's face it, we all know that comment policies are written for that tiny fraction of a blog's reader who either didn't have a mommy who knew how to teach them to be a decent human being or couldn't be bothered to learn that particular lesson. Nonetheless, I'd appreciate it if you would all read it, just to be on the safe side. Plus, you know, I wrote it! I at least tried to make it entertaining. And besides, what ever blog threatens to banish misbehaving commenters to Tartarus?
If you haven't noticed, I also added a Facebook Like button for G(WT)P. Yes, that means that my blog has a Facebook page! Right now, it only has links to my blog entries here, but that may change. But if you could give me a bit of love and like the page, that would be awesome. Also, if you could share my page (and blog) with your friends, I'll try to slip you some ambrosia or something.
Just today, I've also added a feed from my Twitter account, along with a link for subscribing. I've had the account for a few days and I'm trying to have a bit of fun with it. I'll do more and more as time permits. But please consider following me. Not only is it another way to stay abreast of what I'm blogging about, but you can get short bursts of my rainbow-flavored zaniness when you just don't have time to read a full post. And again, #FF will be awarded with ambrosia or something (like sexual favors if you're cute and can find me in real life).
Anyway, that should give you an idea of the things going on here. I'll keep working on improving the site and making the G(WT)P experience as enjoyable as possible. But right now, I need to go start my day. I'll try to write again later. May your days be filled with excitement. Just be sure to clean up the mess afterward!
